Recruiting Psychiatrists - Loan Repayment Available

New York City Children's Center (NYCCC) an Office of Mental Health (OMH) Joint Commission accredited facility, is recruiting Board Certified or Board Eligible Children & Adolescent Psychiatrists for their inpatient units located in the Bronx and Queens.

Psychiatrists at NYCCC are part of a multi-disciplinary team that provides comprehensive and individualized mental health treatment to children and young adults, ages 5-21, including:
Conducting comprehensive psychiatric assessments.
Collaborating with treatment team on diagnoses and treatment plans to ensure continuity of care.
Providing medication management.
Assessing new admissions and participating in discharge planning.
Attending daily treatment meetings and serving on various committees and workgroups to review events, outstanding issues, and ideas to improve individual services and outcomes.
Training and mentoring Children & Adolescent Fellows from several fellowship programs including Columbia University/New York Presbyterian, Montefiore/Albert Einstein, and SUNY Downstate Medical Center.

With campuses in Queens, Brooklyn, and the Bronx; NYCCC provides a variety of inpatient and community services including Day Treatment Programs, Behavioral Health Clinics, Mobile Integration Team (MIT), Community Residences, and Peer Advocacy Services. All programs are fully integrated which allows NYCCC to provide a full continuum of care to the children and adolescents they serve.

Minimum Qualifications:

Psychiatrist 1
Licensed and currently registered to practice medicine in NYS and
Successful completion of a training program in psychiatry approved by the ABPN for entrance into its examination.

Psychiatrist 2
Licensed and currently registered to practice medicine in NYS and
Board Certification in general psychiatry by the ABPN.

Psychiatrist 2 Children & Youth
Licensed and currently registered to practice medicine in NYS and
Board Certification in general psychiatry by the ABPN and
Board Certification in child and adolescent psychiatry by the ABPN.
