Our medical facility provides each step of care from the detox, medication assisted treatment, rehab, and recovery therapy. We are currently seeking Full-Time and Part-Time Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our team!

The Licensed Practice Nurse (LPN) is responsible for rendering nursing care in terms of individualized client needs, utilizing recognized nursing techniques, procedures, and established standards, under the direction/delegation of a registered nurse. In this role, you'll work with other dedicated professionals while advancing your clinical expertise!

Dayshift & Overnight

  • 7:00a-7:30p
  • 7:00p-7:30a

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Administer all medications according to the standards of Safe Nursing Practice, in a timely manner and according to the physicians' orders.
  • Educate patients regarding their medications and document patient's response, comprehension and compliance in the medical record, if found abnormality, notify registered nurse and/or medical doctor
  • Document in the medical record all patient activity such as admissions, discharges, passes, transfers, and visits to the Emergency Room or visits to Pan American Medical Center, if found abnormality, notify registered nurse and/or medical doctor.
  • Document in the medical record the progress of the patient's detoxification process including behavioral response to same, if found abnormality, notify registered nurse and/or medical doctor.
  • Document all treatment interventions and patient's response to same in the medical records, if found abnormality, notify registered nurse and/or medical doctor.
  • Communicate with all members of the treatment team regarding the progress of patient's treatment, if found abnormality, notify registered nurse and/or medical doctor.
  • Responsible for withdrawal assessments and/or vital signs for patients as indicated by their treatment plan.
  • Responsible for the collection of data related to Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) programs such as: Census, Kardex, Risk Management, Incident Reports, Infection Control Reports and Medication Event Report Forms if found abnormality notify registered nurse and/or medical doctor, if found abnormality, notify registered nurse and/or medical doctor.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current NY State Board of Nursing License and Registration
  • Current BLS/CPR
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in nursing
  • Experience with addiction treatment preferred
