Job description

Our client is one of the largest general contractors that focuses on earthwork, utilities, concrete, asphalt, roadwork/heavy civil, etc. With constant projects on their pipeline and growing needs, they're looking for a new project manager to join their team.

Client Details

A full-service site/civil general contractor with 30 years experience that completes public/private projects for commercial general contractors, municipalities, schools, etc.

Description

  • Identifying, requesting and following up on required information from architects and engineers
  • Daily coordination with Field Supervision and Estimating Personnel
  • Ordering and coordinating material deliveries and subcontractor mobilizations
  • Pricing and issuing change order requests and negotiating change orders with General Contractors, Construction Managers, or Owners
  • Issuing close-out documents.
  • Developing and maintaining subcontractor and supplier relationships and capabilities
  • Attend meetings including pre-construction, project, and staff meetings.
  • Monitor and track quantities on completed work and prepare monthly billing invoices.
  • Verify and approve invoices from suppliers.
  • Prepare and update project schedule.
  • Process change orders.
  • Manage all aspects related to the execution of the project including safety, quality control and project integrity.
  • Review and provide accurate project costs and forecasting.

Profile

  • Degree in Business or Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in construction management, project management, or closely related activity.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in project management technology, Microsoft Office Suite, electronic mail, and familiarity with modern construction industry software.
  • Ability to negotiate, resolve conflict, and deal effectively with all levels of staff in a professional and respectful manner, with a focus on customer service.
  • Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality of Company and client information.
