Job description

Our client is seeking a Director of Nursing to lead and supervise the nursing staff at a long-term care facility. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring high-quality care for residents, managing the nursing team, and overseeing daily operations related to nursing care. This role requires strong leadership, supervisory experience, and a deep understanding of long-term care standards.

Responsibilities:

Supervise all nursing staff within the facility.

Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures.

Oversee the hiring, training, and retention of nursing staff.

Ensure adequate nursing coverage and that staff skills remain up-to-date.

Monitor nursing employee conduct and provide guidance as needed.

Stay informed on facility incidents and address concerns as necessary.

Assess and evaluate the health needs of residents.

Must Have's:

Current State RN license.

A minimum of 5 years of experience in long-term care.

At least 2 years of supervisory experience.

Proven strong supervision and leadership skills.

Location: Canandaigua, NY

Salary: $105,000 - $125,000
