Overview:
Assist the Supervisor of Pre-vocational Services in the daily operation of the Pre-Vocational Program. This includes all training, guidance and support for the Vocational Coaches to provide appropriate services as well as to ensure that the documentation requirements are fulfilled appropriately and are in compliance with standard practices. The Assistant supervisor will ensure opportunities are provided to program participants that foster each individual's productivity and independence and will assist in the development of new work experience and opportunities for those who attend pre-vocational Services.

Responsibilities:
Primary duties and responsibilities include but not limited to.

Assist in supervising and guiding Pre-vocational staff to ensure program participant choice is incorporated into the individual's service plan and daily activities in the facility.

To assist in overseeing rehabilitative aspects of the Pre-vocational Program by observing staff, and providing guidance on teaching/coaching methods.

Assists in ensuring all safety measures are adhered to including care plans, incident reporting, and all other regulatory requirements.

Develop and facilitate training for program participants, staff or agency networks as needed to support our programs.

To provide administrative support by generating and reviewing necessary forms and paperwork to comply with agency, state and federal regulations.

Assist in ensuring the completion of payroll for staff and that it is completed accurately and in a timely manner.

Track documentation such as life plan and staff action plan expiration dates and audit daily/monthly notes submitted by vocational coaches.

Attend life plan meetings and complete all associated documentation including developing staff action plans.

Ensures compliance with all 14c requirements including recertification, documentation of job completion, payroll for people supported in prevoc services etc.

Completes job development to obtain more opportunities within the community or more jobs through the 14c certificate.

Attend pertinent conferences, trainings and workshops. Remain up to date with state regulations, funding sources and trends in the field in order to meet program employment goals for adults with disabilities.

Participates on various committees, including COMPASS/CQL to ensure that there is adequate protection of each person's health, safety, comfort, well-being, civil rights, human rights and legal rights.

Assist in carrying out personnel functions such as making recommendations for hire and termination, preparation of new hire packets, conducting evaluations and in-service training of all program staff to ensure that HR personnel procedures are in compliance and in accordance with policy and procedures.

Run community-based groups, as needed, to ensure all individuals supported continue working towards their desired goals and objectives.

Responds to crisis situations in a humane and proactive manner and in accordance to policy procedures and training

Serves as a liaison between people we serve and worksite employees/employers to facilitate appropriate work readiness skills training and professional work relationships, including developing new community-business sites.

Performs additional related duties as needed and/or as requested by supervisor and/or administration

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in related field, preferred

Qualified NYS Driver's license.

2 years' experience supporting people with intellectual and other developmental disabilities required.

Excellent presentation skills and previous customer service experience a plus
