Job description

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician Supervisor for our underground zinc operation. This position offers the opportunity to work in a prime location, with a 2-hour drive to the Thousand Islands, the Lake Ontario shoreline, the Adirondack Mountains, and world-class skiing at Lake Placid. Montreal and Ottawa are also within 2-3 hours for easy exploration of Canada.

Responsibilities:

Supervise and lead the electrical team.

Plan, prioritize, and assign daily tasks.

Manage inventory, scheduling, and ordering of materials and supplies.

Troubleshoot and repair electrical components such as PLC panels, drives, motors, fans, VFDs, transformers, pumps, and generators.

Work with electrical systems ranging from 4-20 mA, 4160, 13.8 AC up to 480v, 5kva, and DC voltages.

Interpret and follow electrical schematics and prints.

Provide support to the electrical team both underground and on the surface as needed.

Develop a working knowledge of hoisting and crushing operations and troubleshoot related issues.

Qualifications:

At least 5 years of relevant industrial electrical experience.

Minimum 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.

Strong communication skills to work effectively with other department managers and team members.

Excellent time management skills.

Hands-on experience with PLCs and AC/DC drives.

Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions to ensure safety and efficiency.

Must be able to perform tasks safely, ensuring the health and safety of yourself and others.

Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
