Job Summary:

The X-Ray Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic radiographic imaging procedures in a hospital setting. The technologist works closely with physicians and healthcare professionals to provide high-quality imaging that assists in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. The role involves operating advanced X-ray equipment, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining adherence to hospital and regulatory standards.

Core Responsibilities:
Perform diagnostic X-ray procedures in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.
Prepare and position patients for X-ray examinations, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the procedure.
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to review and interpret imaging results for accurate diagnosis.
Operate and maintain X-ray equipment, ensuring it is in good working order and performing routine maintenance when necessary.
Document patient information and imaging results in the hospital's electronic health record (EHR) system.
Adhere to radiation safety protocols to protect patients and staff, ensuring compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.

Education:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field.
Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.

Licensure/Certification:
ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required.
New York State Radiologic Technologist License required.

Experience:
Experience in a hospital setting is preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.

Skills:
Proficient in radiographic imaging techniques and radiation safety protocols.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients and healthcare teams.
Ability to work independently with attention to detail and accuracy.

Work Schedule:
12-hour day shifts (3 days/week)
