You Will:
The Manager of Deicing Operation must possess the ability to work effectively in a team environment, partnering with senior management, and is accountable for the following essential functions:
Managing the day-to-day activities of the entire operation
Responsible for all deicing operations, fluid management; inclusive of fluid inventory, seasonal sampling, refractometer testing and readiness of resources
Maintain and ensure adherence to company safety policies, standards, and procedures
Prioritizing workplace safety with established metrics and Service Level Agreements
Ensure all information needed for internal, Terminal Operator, airlines and airport deicing reports are completed as required
Responsible for ensuring all aircraft are properly deiced / anti-iced
Maintain financial performance of location including planning manpower, equipment, fluid, and facilities
Excel at operational performance of location
Adhere to any local deicing procedures to include the Station Readiness and customer specific requirements
Responsible for de-icing policy and procedure content in the GHM
Annual review of AEA recommendations and incorporation into Ground Handling Manual
Coordinate deicing operations with the Terminal Operator, Airport Operations, customer airlines and internal departments
Respond to customer requests for information, coordinate audits as applicable and customer operational visits
Review Safety Management System (SMS) for station standards with the Quality Management System (QMS) on a regular basis and address any areas of concern
Developing and implementing strategies, processes and procedures that will effectively influence company profitability
Achieving monthly performance metrics and all Service Level Agreements
Recruit, interview, train and hire employees as required
Liaison with Training department and ensure proper completion of required deicing training to include classroom, on the job and airline specific training as required
Be a positive role model to all personnel
Establish effective leadership organization for the deicing operation to manage personnel and resources
Carry out other duties as assigned as determined by the Directors Office
Represent with best intent the business priorities and professional image of dnata and Terminal Operator customer(s)
You Have:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed in this Job Description are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Expertise with FAA and customer airlines deicing requirements and procedures
3-5 years in Deicing experience required.
High business acumen to operate within budget and properly coordinate resources
Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
Highly motivated self-started and self-disciplined
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational and administrative skills with attention to detail
Professionalism and maintaining company goals and expectations
Unrestricted availability, schedule may include evenings, weekends, and holidays
Ability to be on call 24/7 for emergencies
Reliable transportation
Valid State Driver's License with a verifiable safe vehicle operating record.
