Night Shift (10 p.m. - 6:30 a.m.) 80-hours per pay period

Eligible for an additional $1.60 per hour shift differential when working the evening or night shift and an additional $1.00 differential when working more than every- other weekend.

A sign-on bonus of $7,500 is available for these positions. Subject to applicable taxes. Paid 1/3 in first paycheck, 1/3 after 6 months, and 1/3 after one year with a 12-month commitment period. This bonus is not available to current UVM Health Network employees, or those employed within the last 12 months. Must sign an agreement acknowledging terms and conditions.

A relocation assistance bonus is available for eligible candidates.

Job Summary: The Licensed Practical Nurse shall be accountable and responsible for performing tasks and responsibilities within the framework of case finding, health teaching, health counseling, provision of supportive and restorative care, administering medication(s), and provide nursing treatment under the direction of a registered nurse, licensed physician or other health care provider. The Licensed Practical Nurse shall be responsible for: Monitoring that Plan of Care is being followed by clinical staff under their supervision; Supervise certified nurse aides or unlicensed assistive personnel Provide supervision, coordination, and evaluation of assigned unit health care team and services.

Department: Skilled Nursing Facility

Education: Currently licensed as a Practical Nurse in New York State.

Experience: 1 year experience preferred. Computer skills required. Practices within the guidelines of the New York State Practice Act.
