Job description

Genesis10 is currently seeking an Agile Scrum Master with our client in the financial industry located in New York, NY. This is a 12 + month contract position.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for planning and coordinating the execution of project/small program deliverables which requires the engagement of multiple teams

Communicate work objectives, coordinating delivery, facilitating sync points across teams, providing end-to-end visibility into the health of the deliverables, and managing program risk and compliance to standards

Coordinate and facilitate Scrum ceremonies, managing dependencies for the team, providing visibility into team delivery plans and progress, enabling continuous improvement within the team

Ensure the impediments are resolved quickly, the team follows their agreed-to processes

Promote and coach the Agile mindset and principles, empowering the team to become self-managing and fulfill their cross-functional potential

Guide and coach one or more teams on Scrum practices, and develop their understanding of Agile principles

Facilitate dependency management/risk management/impediment removal for the team

Promote/facilitate communication and collaboration within the Agile team to support value delivery and Sprint commitments

Provide visibility into the Agile team's delivery plans and progress against plan to stakeholders

Enable the team to become high performing through collaboration and a relentless focus on continuous improvement including cross-skilling across the team

Measure team delivery, maturity, and performance and review the metrics with the team to identify improvement opportunities

Requirements:

5+ years Project Management experience (leading, tracking and reporting)

Deep understanding of Lean/Agile project management approaches and Solution Delivery Methodology (SDM)

Clear communication and stakeholder management skills, with an emphasis on Senior Management reporting, building decks etc.

A proactive approach to problem solving

Experience of coordinating and facilitating routines to support program delivery e.g., program kick-offs, status reviews, stakeholder meetings, change controls, tollgates, etc.

Excellent team-working and organizational skills

Experience working with a globally distributed team

Strong understanding of Jira and Microsoft Office Tools (primarily Excel and PowerPoint)

Desired skills:

Experience in Financial Services front-office environment

Pay Range: $73.08 - $81.08
