Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Application Operations Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a broad technical background, including experience with full-stack development, cloud platforms, database management, and monitoring tools. This role is crucial in driving operational efficiency, ensuring system reliability, and leading the overall management of applications and services within a large-scale environment.

The candidate will be expected to take initiative and independently manage key operational aspects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure seamless delivery of services. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in fast-paced environments are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

" Oversee the day-to-day operations of mission-critical applications, ensuring uptime, performance, and security.

" Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

" Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and business teams to implement solutions that meet business requirements.

" Monitor and optimize the performance of applications using tools such as Data Dog, Ops Genie, and Monte Carlo.

" Manage cloud infrastructure (preferably AWS) and oversee DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines.

" Ensure smooth integration and functionality of Java Full Stack applications, RESTful APIs, and database systems (e.g., Redshift, SQL, Oracle).

" Support reporting and analytics functions using Tableau and Power BI.

" Track issues and manage resolutions through tools like ServiceNow and JIRA.

" Lead root cause analysis of operational issues, identify improvement areas, and implement solutions to reduce downtime and improve efficiency.

" Provide operational oversight for cloud architecture, infrastructure management, and application deployment.

" Mentor and guide the operations team to maintain high-quality standards and process improvements.

Required Technical Skills:

" Strong background in Java Full Stack Development and familiarity with RESTful APIs.

" Experience with AWS and DevOps practices (automation, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code).

" Hands-on experience with database systems such as Redshift, SQL, and Oracle.

" Proficiency in Tableau and Power BI for analytics and reporting.

" Expertise in monitoring tools like Data Dog, Ops Genie, and Monte Carlo.

" Familiarity with ServiceNow and JIRA for IT service management and issue tracking.

Qualifications:

" Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master's degree is a plus).

" 8-12 years of experience in IT operations or related roles.

" Proven experience managing enterprise applications and services in a high-availability environment.

" Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.

" Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver within tight deadlines.

" Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Preferred:

" Certifications in AWS, DevOps, or relevant technologies.
