As an Assistant Superintendent, you will work closely with the Superintendent to oversee daily on-site operations. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth execution of projects, from start to finish, in compliance with safety standards, project timelines, and quality expectations. We are a leading NYC-based General Contractor specializing in insert specialization, e.g., commercial, residential, interior, etc With a strong commitment to delivering quality projects on time and within budget, we are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Superintendent to join our dynamic team.

Description

  1. Assist the Superintendent in managing day-to-day on-site activities and ensuring project timelines are met.
  2. Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site staff to ensure efficient work flow.
  3. Conduct regular site inspections to maintain safety standards and quality control.
  4. Monitor material deliveries and equipment to ensure proper usage and storage.
  5. Help prepare daily reports, logs, and project documentation as required.
  6. Ensure adherence to all NYC building codes and regulations.
  7. Support in resolving any issues or conflicts that arise on-site.

Profile

  1. 2+ years of experience in construction, preferably with a General Contractor in NYC.
  2. Strong knowledge of NYC building codes and regulations.
  3. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction documents, and specifications.
  4. Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  5. OSHA 30 certification required.
  6. Proficiency in construction management software (Procore, PlanGrid, etc.) is a plus.
  7. Valid NYC SST card.
