Job description
The Business analyst is a hands-on role to develop detailed business requirements. This data initiative project will enable the bank to streamline and reduce manual processes, and gain deeper insights into their business while meeting increasing regulatory and risk compliance requirements.

Description
Develop business and functional requirements for report automation/migration and system implementation
Assist the team leads in eliciting business requirement from the business stakeholders, manage the planning and execution of requirements gathering workshop
Conduct stakeholder meetings independently, with minimal supervision, to gather necessary requirements, and develop detailed business requirements document
Design and maintain workflows based on requirements collected, able to provide solutions by analyzing requirements received from multiple teams and technical capability
Design and implement data lake ingestion and data warehouse construction
Develop SQL queries in the reporting platform to extract data from data lake and data warehouse to build automated reports
Design and develop BI reports, dashboards and visualization using BI tools
Collaborate with IT teams during SDLC cycle, not limited to, includes BRD discussion, data warehouse construction, coding troubleshooting, UAT testing, etc.
Lead the User Acceptance Testing, develop UAT plan and create test cases, report testing status/progress

Profile
Preferably bilingual in both English and Mandarin. As well as the following:
4+ year experience in business analysis or data management, preferably in the banking sector
Experience on data integration, data warehouse, data migration, report automation and process management tools
Experience with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., SQL, BI, Excel )
Understanding of the architecture and concept of data lake and data warehouse related knowledge and design
Must have strong written and verbal communication skills and suitable in teamwork environment
Must be proactive and analytical to evaluate and solve problems independently
Must be able to work under pressure with the team and deliver results in a timely manner
Must be willing to learn, self-driven and responsible
Job Offer
Quick interview process with an immediate start date. Ability to work on-site 5 days per week in Manhattan on a 6 month contract with possible extension.
