Job description

The Project Manager will be responsible for managing commercial interior fit-out projects, ensuring that all phases-from design to construction-are completed on time, within scope, and on budget. You will collaborate closely with clients, designers, subcontractors, and internal teams to deliver top-tier project results that align with our clients' vision and NYC standards.

As we expand our operations, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our team and play a key role in managing and overseeing commercial construction projects throughout the New York region.

Description

  1. Manage and oversee the full project lifecycle of commercial interior fit-out projects, from pre-construction through closeout.
  2. Coordinate with clients, architects, designers, and subcontractors to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  3. Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
  4. Ensure all work complies with NYC building codes, permits, and safety regulations.
  5. Perform regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety, and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
  6. Manage subcontractor performance, procurement, and contract negotiations.
  7. Prepare and present project reports, including cost tracking, schedule updates, and risk assessments.
  8. Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks or delays.
  9. Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are met throughout the project.
  10. Lead project closeout activities, including final inspections, punch lists, and ensuring all required documentation is completed.

Profile

  1. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
  2. 5+ years of project management experience with commercial interior fit-out projects in NYC.
  3. Strong understanding of NYC building codes, zoning regulations, and compliance requirements.
  4. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under tight deadlines.
  5. Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  6. Proficiency in project management software (Procore, MS Project, or similar).
  7. Ability to build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
  8. Problem-solving mindset with a focus on delivering quality results.
