Global Specialty Segment Strategy & Execution Director

Aon Reinsurance is looking for a strategy & execution director to support its Global Specialty Client Segment and Global Client Segment. This individual will work closely with a core Aon team based in the US and UK, along with a broader set of colleagues globally.

Location: The role is Hybrid - US based, in Boston or New York

How this opportunity is different

The Strategy director, as part of Aon Reinsurance's Strategy & Execution function, will provide dedicated strategic support to Aon Reinsurance's Head of the Global Specialty Segment and work closely with the broader Global client segment teams in the following areas:

What the day will look like:

Support buildout of the Global Specialty strategy and action plan, develop a strong internal network and co-ordinate communication across Global Specialty team

Organize and facilitate client account team planning reviews, Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), and segment meetings with relevant Aon stakeholders, including reviewing and critiquing account plans, coordinating teams, aggregating key information and insights, and managing follow-up actions as needed.

In collaboration with teams across Aon, aggregate client segment data from multiple systems and teams to synthesize and evaluate segment performance, including data around growth, revenue, trends, variance analyses, etc.

Support production and communication of quarterly business reviews to Aon executives

Present knowledge and insights from the data and client information gathered to Aon executives and broader teams within the client segment

Work with regional Strategic Growth Leader (SGLs), as needed, in management of growth pipeline, including validation of existing pipeline revenue, updates, and champion increased pipeline usage

Evaluate current and optimal client segmentation strategies, working with Aon teams to continually refine and improve segmentation strategy to drive growth

Coordinate with Insurance Vertical leadership to roll out and communicate client strategies

Limited travel required (3-4 times per year)

Skills and experience that will lead to success:

Qualifications: The ideal candidate has consultancy and strategy background, is well-organized, inquisitive, and team-focused with excellent communication skills. Strong Excel and data organization skills are required, with the ability to evaluate and build quantitative and qualitative insights from both raw data and team discussions and account planning.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Powerpoint, etc)

5+ years of (re)insurance experience; reinsurance broker experience ideal

Proven experience and ability to work well in team environment.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience

Pay Transparency Laws:

The salary range for this position is $(phone number removed) - $(phone number removed) annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on the applicant's geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
