Job description

As a Human Resources Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the HR department with various administrative tasks and ensuring the smooth operation of HR processes.

Our client is a nonprofit organization that provides free civil legal assistance to low-income people in New York City. The community-based organization serves more than 100,000 clients annually.

Description

  • Provide administrative support to the HR department, preparing documents and managing correspondences
  • Support HR team with onboarding, background checks and references
  • Assist with reports for audits and compliance reviews
  • Support employee relations activities
  • Conduct data collection and analysis for HR metrics reporting
  • Provide administrative support for HR projects and initiatives

Profile

  • Experience with HRIS systems such as UltiPro, Workday, Taleo, Kronos, or similar platforms
  • Strong data collection and analysis skills
  • This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in various HR functions and contribute to the overall success of the HR department
  • Ability to Commute the Financial District of Manhattan
  • Heavy focus on: data entry/spreadsheet management/HRIS- queries/new hires entries/file management.
  • Responding to hr help desk inquiries
  • Understands a unionized environment
  • Will reference collective bargaining agreement regularly
