Job description

Our client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Litigation Legal Assistant for a temporary position with a fast-paced organization. The successful candidate will provide essential legal and administrative support to attorneys. This assignment is expected to last 6 weeks, with the potential for extension. This position is hybrid in NYC with 3 days on-site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative and clerical support to litigation attorneys
  • Draft, format, and e-file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and correspondence
  • Prepare Tables of Contents (TOC) and Tables of Authorities (TOA) for briefs and other legal filings
  • Coordinate and schedule depositions, meetings, and court appearances
  • Maintain and organize case files, both physical and electronic
  • Communicate with clients, court personnel, and external parties as needed
  • Conduct basic legal research and assist with document review
  • Ensure deadlines are met and handle time-sensitive tasks

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience as a legal assistant, preferably in litigation
  • Experience with e-filing in NYC federal and/or state courts
  • Proficiency in drafting TOCs, TOAs, and familiarity with litigation procedures and court rules
  • Knowledge of legal software, including case management and e-filing systems (experience with netdocs, a plus)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills

Pay Rate: $35-$45/hour



Pay Details: $35.00 to $45.00 per hour
