Responsibilities:
This position will be responsible for research & development in the cell therapy group. This person will lead technical transfer, method optimization/development, bioassay activity, qualification, and transfer to cGMP facility of multiple cell therapy procedures (including autologous CAR-T, NK-based therapies, iPSC, CD34+ HSC). In addition, the scientist will be responsible for experimental planning and design, execution, analysis, and final reports. May also include leading technology evaluation.

Location:

Houston, Texas

Participate in identifying and developing innovative technologies for various cell therapy programs.

Work collaboratively with internal and external team members across a diverse range of projects.

Experience leading potential technical customer discussions and technical transfer from client to CCS team.

Assist in review of SOPs, protocols, CQAs, CPP, BOM, QTPP etc. and perform gap analyses to provide development recommendations and follow on work.

Lead process and assay development from early stages through to GMP manufacturing (phase I through commercial).

Evaluate, develop, and implement a broad portfolio of technologies through all stages of discovery and development.

Build, train, and mentor team members in all aspects of cell therapy.

Prepare and presents various reports.

Work on special projects as needed.

Any related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Education:

Ph.D or Master's Degree with equivalent experience in cell therapy.

Experience:

5+ years related work experience in cell therapy space.

Prior experience in CDMO for cell and gene therapy preferred but not essential.

Any combination of education, training and experience that has supplied the necessary knowledge, skills and experience to perform the essential functions of the job.

For applicants who will perform this position in New York City or Westchester County, the proposed annual salary is $(phone number removed)p/yr. For applicants who will perform this position outside of New York City or Westchester County, salary will reflect local market rates and be commensurate with the applicant's skills, job-related knowledge, and experience.
