Position Overview:

A dedicated and experienced Project Manager to oversee the Wireless Access Point Modernization project.

This role involves coordinating the deployment of wireless access points across our facilities, working closely with internal engineering teams and external low voltage providers.

Will ensure seamless execution, minimize disruptions, and provide comprehensive reporting to stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

Deployment Schedule Development:

Create a detailed deployment schedule, incorporating the burn-down rate for all 1,600 devices.

Identify critical dependencies and manage cross-party logistics.

Establish a progress reporting schedule to track and communicate project milestones.

Collaboration and Coordination:

Partner with Engineering, third-party low voltage providers, electrical contractors, and relevant staff.

Facilitate effective communication and coordination among all parties involved in the device install and deployment.

Executive Reporting:

Develop and deliver executive reports on a daily, weekly, or as-needed basis, as required by the Sponsor.

Provide clear, concise updates on project progress, issues, and resolutions.

Communication Plan Development:

Design a comprehensive communication plan to engage staff.

Create communication artifacts to support the plan, ensuring Sponsor and Communication team approval.

On-Site Presence:

Be on-site for the duration of the project to ensure visibility, rapid response, issue escalation, and resolution.

Monitor project activities and address any issues promptly to maintain project momentum.

Minimize Disruption:

Develop strategies to minimize disruptions to patients and staff, including scheduling upgrades outside of normal business hours when necessary.

Future Deployment Planning:

Collaborate with the Sponsor to develop a dashboard for tracking future wireless deployments (Phase 2 and beyond).

Document lessons learned and best practices to inform future projects.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Information Technology, or a related field.

Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in project management, preferably in a healthcare or technology environment.

Proven experience managing large-scale technology deployment projects.

Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.

Experience with inventory management and asset tagging processes.

Proficiency in project management software and tools.

Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to issue resolution.

Preferred Experience:

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

Experience in wireless network deployment and modernization projects.

Familiarity with low voltage cabling and electrical installation processes.

Knowledge of healthcare industry regulations and standards.

Pay Rate: $80.00 - $85.00/hr.
