Job description

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Technical Project Manager (Legal Technology) for a right to hire assignment with one of our premier Insurance services clients in NYC, NY.

Responsibilities :

As a Technical Project Manager, required to lead the technical aspects of application implementations with a strong background in implementing Legal Technology solutions. This includes leading the design and full life cycle for various systems enhancements. Working with onshore/nearshore/offshore firm team and Vendor Partners to ensure projects are completed on-time and on budget. Provide project oversight to stakeholders & business partners which includes project plans, risk/issue reports, IT governance tasks for the project assigned. Work collaborative with other IT teams toward the common goal of delivering a quality product that meets the project timelines and business needs.

Project Management:

Lead and manage the end-to-end implementation of Legal Technology solutions.

Develop detailed project plans, including scope, schedule, and resource allocation.

Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.

Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

Stakeholder Coordination:

Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders for all ongoing active projects, ensuring clear and consistent communication.

Gather and document stakeholder requirements, expectations, and feedback.

Facilitate regular project meetings and updates to keep stakeholders informed.

Technical Leadership:

Collaborate with technical teams to design and implement technology solutions that meet business needs.

Oversee the integration of Legal Technology solutions with existing systems and processes.

Ensure adherence to SDLC methodologies and best practices.

Agile Methodology:

Implement Agile methodologies to drive project delivery and foster iterative development where required.

Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.

Adapt project plans and strategies based on Agile principles and feedback.

Documentation and Reporting:

Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project charters, status reports, and post-implementation reviews.

Track project performance using key metrics and provide regular reports to senior management.

Risk Management:

Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues.

Develop and execute risk mitigation plans to minimize project impact.

Team Coordination:

Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including developers, QA engineers, and business analysts, to ensure seamless project execution.

Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among team members.

Required Skills:

5+ years of professional experience as a Project Manager or Program Manager, preferably within Financial services.

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.

Proven experience as a Technical Project Manager, specifically with Legal Technology solutions (Contract Life Cycle Management, Enterprise Legal Management, Regulatory change management or Compliance Projects).

Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience leading Agile projects.

Expertise in SDLC methodologies and practices.

Excellent coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and technical teams.

Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Skills:

Master's degree in a relevant field.

Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Scrum Master, or similar).

Experience with specific Legal Technology Implementations (e.g., MitraTech, IronClad, iManage, LexisNexis).

Familiarity with compliance and regulatory requirements in the legal domain.

Previous experience working in a law firm or with legal department is a plus.
