With 170 offices across North America, we combine the personalized service model of a local consultant with the global resources of the worlds leading professional services firm, Marsh McLennan (NYSE: MMC).

A day in the life.

As our Vice President, Business Insurance, youll lead development of new business opportunities through prospects and existing relationships consistent with Agency objectives. Work closely with clients and team members provides strategic and tactical consulting with commercial clients. Develop and maintain effective business relationships through proactive client service, managing renewals and ongoing problem resolution.

This position has the ability to work out of any of our Michigan offices in Grand Rapids, Livonia or Troy.

Wed love to meet you if your professional track record includes these skills:
Minimum of a Bachelors or Juris Doctorate degree preferred.
5 to 8 years industry experience with insurance agency, consulting, legal, finance, insurance company, risk management, or related experience preferred.
Demonstrated relationship management skills with 3+ years of client management responsibilities.
Maintain P&C, Surplus Lines and L&H licenses in the State of Michigan.
Extensive knowledge of commercial insurance with 5+ years of industry, laws, products, coverage experience.
Strong leadership, persuasion, communication and writing skills.
Excellent client relationship building and presentation skills.
Ability to work under pressure and multi-task.
Ability to work in a team leadership role.
Must be self-directed, organized and resourceful.
