A very stable and industry leading company is seeking a staff accountant to join it's team on a perm basis. This is a terrific opportunity to work side by side a Controller and be trained for every function within the accounting department. This is a very collaborative environment. The controller will entrust the staff accountant with more responsibilities as each task is accomplished and learned. Responsibilities Include:

Work directly with the Controller in preparing all financial statements

Assist in the month end close

Monthly reconciliation of general ledger accounts. Report any variances

Prepare Bank reconciliations

Prepare journal entries

Assist Accounts Payable Clerk resolving difficult issues for payment

Sage a plus

Strong excel skills required

Pay:$65,000.00 - $80,000.00
