The School Receptionist is the first point of contact for students, parents, staff, and visitors. This role requires a friendly, professional, and organized individual who can manage a variety of administrative and housekeeping tasks efficiently. The receptionist will ensure smooth operations of the front office and contribute to creating a welcoming environment for the school community.

Key Responsibilities:

Front Desk Operations:

Greet and assist all visitors, students, and staff with a friendly and professional demeanor.

Answer and direct phone calls, take messages, and respond to inquiries via phone and email.

Visitor Management:

Maintain a secure and organized entry process by checking in visitors, verifying IDs, and issuing visitor badges as per school policies.

Monitor visitor access and maintain visitor logs for security.

Administrative Support:

Assist with scheduling appointments, meetings, and events for the school administration.

Manage and distribute incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and important documents.

Provide clerical support to staff, including copying, filing, and organizing documents.

Housekeeping and Cleanliness:

Conduct a daily check and cleaning of student bathrooms to ensure cleanliness and order.

Replenish bathroom supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper as needed.

Report any maintenance or sanitation issues to the appropriate staff for immediate attention.

Student Assistance:

Assist students with inquiries, late passes, early dismissals, and other needs.

Maintain records for student attendance, tardiness, and early dismissals as needed.

Communication:

Serve as a communication link between parents, students, staff, and administration.

Distribute notices, announcements, and general information to students and staff.

Data Entry and Record Keeping:

Update and maintain school records, student information, and databases as required.

Maintain a neat and organized front office and ensure that materials and supplies are stocked.

Emergency Support:

Support emergency procedures by following protocols and providing assistance in drills and real emergencies.

Act as a key point of contact in relaying messages quickly during emergencies.
