Job description

Who we are. WorkFit Medical is a free-standing Urgent Care/Occupational Health Center serving the Rochester area. We currently provide services to more than 1,500 clients across several industries, including transportation, education, municipal agencies, and first responders. In addition to 19-A and DOT physical examinations, we provide return-to-work physicals, OSHA physicals, preemployment physicals, and random drug and alcohol screenings with a medical review officer (MRO) on site. Additionally, we offer workers' compensation services and urgent care.

Here's what the jobs are all about. We are seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (PA/NP) interested in providing care to all segments of the clinic occupational medicine, urgent care, veteran exams, and firefighter physicals. This is the right place for you if you want to provide patients with an experience that exceeds their expectations. We are offering a part-time position, 10-20/hours weekly.

What you ll do:

  • In addition to interviewing patients, performing physical examinations, and obtaining, updating, and studying medical histories, you will assess the patient's health.
  • Experience in an urgent care, occupational, or other similar setting preferred but those who are new to the setting are encouraged to apply.
  • Flexibility with schedule, willing to work some evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to occasionally visit employer or customer locations.
  • Connect and build rapport with patients.
  • You would describe yourself as an excellent clinician who performs at the highest level.
  • Current license to practice medicine in New York State or willing to obtain.
  • Registered with Workers Compensation Board and DOT Certified or willing to obtain.
