Our Tech Valley Sleep Center is looking for a registered and licensed Polysomnographic Sleep Technologist. This is a full-time opportunity 7:30PM to 7:00AM (3 nights a week). This position will perform comprehensive polysomnographic testing and analysis, and associated interventions under the general oversight of the Medical/Technical Director.

Essential Functions include, but are not limited to:

Gather and analyze patient information.
Follow all testing preparation procedures including but not limited to: prepare and calibrate equipment, apply electrodes and sensors, perform routine positive airway pressure (PAP mask fitting).
Follow all polysomnographic procedural protocols.
Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to recognize and provide age specific care in the treatment, assessment, and education of neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
Assist with all polysomnographic record scoring.
Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and standards regarding safety and infection control issues.
Must maintain a high level of confidentiality and a high degree of integrity with HIPAA guidelines and patient matters.
DME-Cpap equipment set-ups. Instruct patient on Cpap set-up/use and maintenance.
Complete all paperwork necessary for billing.

Hourly salary range: $22.74-$34.11

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Successful completion of a polysomnography program, of no less than one year duration, associated with a state licensed and/or a nationally accredited educational facility or Authorization Certificate for Polysomnographic Technologists from the State of New York.
• RPSGT is required.
• Certified basic CPR/BCLS.
• Certifications must be kept up to date.
• Active BLS certification.
