As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our products. You will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to implement quality control measures, conduct inspections, and analyze data to identify and resolve quality issues. Your role will be critical in maintaining the reputation for excellence in aerospace products.

Our state-of-the-art facility features a class 10K clean room for specialized products, including flight-critical pressure regulators, pneumatic weapons release systems, high-pressure assemblies, and medical components.

Description

Senior Quality Engineer will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of aerospace products. Key responsibilities will include:

Quality System Development and Management:

  1. Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive quality management systems (QMS) aligned with industry standards like AS9100 and ISO 9001.
  2. Conduct regular internal audits to assess QMS effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
  3. Lead the certification process for relevant quality standards.

Quality Planning and Assurance:

  1. Develop and implement quality plans for new products and processes, ensuring compliance with customer requirements and industry regulations.
  2. Conduct quality risk assessments to identify potential failure modes and implement preventive measures.
  3. Oversee quality assurance activities throughout the product lifecycle, including incoming inspections, process control, and final product testing.

Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Actions:

  1. Investigate non-conforming products and processes to identify root causes using tools like Six Sigma and 5 Whys.
  2. Implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CPAs) to prevent recurrence of quality issues.
  3. Track and monitor the effectiveness of CPAs.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  1. Collect and analyze quality data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
  2. Prepare comprehensive quality reports for management and stakeholders.
  3. Use statistical tools and techniques to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.

Supplier Quality Management:

  1. Establish and maintain supplier quality requirements.
  2. Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  3. Manage supplier relationships and address quality-related issues.

Continuous Improvement:

  1. Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives, such as Lean Six Sigma projects.
  2. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance quality and efficiency.
  3. Foster a culture of quality and continuous learning within the organization.

Profile

A Successful Senior Quality Engineer:

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial, or related field) or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in quality engineering within the aerospace industry.
  • Strong understanding of quality management systems (QMS) and industry standards like AS9100 and ISO 9001.
  • Proven experience in conducting quality audits, inspections, and root cause analyses.
  • Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis tools.
  • Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes and materials.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Engineering or Business Administration.
  • Certification in Six Sigma (Black Belt or Green Belt).
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements such as FAA, EASA, and other aviation authorities.
  • Experience with quality management software tools.
  • Strong project management skills.
