Project Overview
The Project Manager will be involved in the planning, execution, and oversight of projects. This key position involves meticulous coordination of project teams, ensuring timely and budget-conscious project delivery, and adeptly managing stakeholder expectations. This role will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders and is instrumental in driving successful project outcomes. The Project Manager will be responsible for leveraging advanced disciplinespecific knowledge, including technical and operational aspects, labor relations, and HR systems, to support DEI integration Office of Civil Rights and Inclusion The Office of Civil Rights (OCRI) provides leadership and strategic direction in creating and nurturing a workplace that is inclusive, respectful and free from discrimination, intolerance, harassment and retaliation. Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
Skillfully develop project budgets, meticulously track expenditures to ensure cost-effectiveness.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, deliverables and deadlines, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and strategic initiatives.
Develop detailed project plans, schedules, deadlines and budgets, identifying necessary resources, milestones, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track project progress and success.
Proactively identify potential risks, issues, and dependencies, and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact 3 on project timelines and deliverables.
Effectively communicate project status, risks, and successes to stakeholders, providing regular updates and conducting project reviews as needed.
Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors, contractors, and technical teams, ensuring clear communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
Engage in regular communication with project stakeholders, providing transparent updates, soliciting feedback, and adeptly managing expectations.
To be considered for this position, you should have: Skills, Education, or Experience
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, with the capacity to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Strong problemsolving and decision-making skills, with the ability to analyze complex situations, identify solutions, and drive successful outcomes.
Experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Azure DevOps).
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Thorough understanding of project management phases, techniques and tools: Initiate, Planning: definition/scope/requirements, Execute & Control: scope, work plans, resources, deliverables, Q/A, transition planning, etc, Closure: completion and assessment.
Strong and tested project management skills including: Customer satisfaction management, Sponsor expectation management, Vendor and consultant management, Risk management and issue resolution, Financial management including budgeting, forecasting and reporting, Change Management.
Ability to work cross-functionally to solve problems and implement changes, analyze decisions and actions for their support of the larger area's strategic direction; and work with senior management to resolve more complex problems.
Education & Certifications
Bachelor's degree Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) is desired.
