Job description

Overview:
The Scheduler is responsible for scheduling imaging procedures. Working under direct supervision, this role also assists with data entry, secretarial duties, and administrative duties in order to assist the Operating Room Staff in providing high quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

Ensures the correct patient and exam are selected for the appointment by using available sources to obtain/validate patient demographics and insurance information.

Matches orders to the correct scheduled exam and initiates solutions for incorrect orders and lab results in a timely manner.

Assists with accurately completing pre-registration for scheduled exams in order to ensure that it includes complete documentation of authorization information.

Works closely with the pre-authorization team in order to ensure financial clearance guidelines have been met. Helps schedule anesthesia for adult sedation patients.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION:

Required: High school diploma or equivalent

EXPERIENCE:

Required: 1 year of experience
