Summary: The Data Analyst is responsible for the build, support, and maintenance of the Tableau data reporting environment. This position works with end-users to ensure accuracy of data collected and reported. Develops, interprets, and implements complex financial and accounting concepts, or techniques for financial planning and control, by performing duties such as those described below.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities. However, due to the scope of responsibilities the position may direct the work of others.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Maintains the Dashboards and Reporting produced from the Tableau data environment and supports end-users.
  • Support content creation for dealer facing reporting.
  • Accelerate data source collection and aggregation to drive deeper insights into performance.
  • Keep up with key feature releases across technology platforms and develop implementation strategies when relevant.
  • Implement testing regimes to ensure that updates and changes to the Data, Software, or Dashboards/Reports maintain their continuity.
  • Aids in training and adoption across personnel ranging from developing power users (creators) to content consumers (viewers).
  • Use statistical tools to interpret data sets and investigate trends.
  • Continue to refine operational processes using data and technology to scale processes more efficiently.
  • Performs monthly reconciliations to identify and analyze data errors or other system problems and develops solutions to correct errors.
  • Communicates with Tableau end-users to troubleshoot systems problems and answer end-user questions.
  • Conducts feasibility studies to analyze complex financial actions within the data environment and prepares recommendations for policy, procedure, control, or action.
  • Establishes databases of pertinent information for use in analyzing future plans and forecasts.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree; plus two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of graduate education and experience.

Certificates and Licenses:

Valid Driver's License

Computer Skills:

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access. Experience with Tableau is required. Must have experience with SQL. R and Python experience preferred.

Communication Skills:

Ability to understand and follow instructions. Ability to communicate effectively with company personnel.

Attendance Expectations:

The position requires regular and predictable attendance. Scheduled hours may include evening hours, weekends, and holidays to meet required deadlines.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; and sit. The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel.

Environment Demands:

Duties are performed primarily an office environment in the management office. Position requires frequent interaction with Management Office employees.

Verbal and Writing Ability:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.

Math Ability:

Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to analyze and interpret financial statements and reports.
