Job Description Summary

Sitting within the Data Management Technology organization, the Horizon Support Team will have responsibility for leading a portfolio of applications through the Continuous Integration Onboarding and DevOps processes. Must have an in-depth understanding of complex application architecture to support the setup of Release Orchestration Toolsets. Must be able to partner across application development, Agile, quality assurance, and technology partners.

Job Description:

This role is responsible for the setup, configuring and delivery of Release Orchestration Toolsets. Key responsibilities of this role include ensuring that software deployments are setup and configured to meet standards for access, ownership, and authentication. This role ensures software promotion release pipelines are well designed and follow Continuous Delivery (CD) best practices. These individuals are aware of development, testing practices, software delivery tools and runtime application standards at the bank and ensure they are integrated during implementation.

Responsibilities

• This position is for a DevOps Engineer role within a diverse cross-functional team. The responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
• Configuration and support of the enterprise SDLC toolset including work management, source control, and CI/CD tools.
• Responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivery of component onboarding which requires engagement from multiple teams.
• Provides Onboarding and Day-1 support for SDLC environment pipelines.
• Act as the primary point of contact for onboarding, s/he must assist with technology setup, questions and resolution of issues.
• Troubleshoot build and setup failures, and facilitate resolution.
• Assist in internal team documentation to streamline processes and broaden knowledgebase.
• Proactively work with internal teams to streamline onboarding and usage of capabilities.
• Communicate status frequently to technology partners.
• Ensures execution and delivery meets technology's expectations in terms of the functionality, quality and timeline.
• Partners with architecture and tech solution owner to ensure project efforts are aligned to enterprise standards and tech strategy.

Required Skills

• Ability to understand various / complex application architecture to support setting up Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Deployment (CD) and Continuous Testing.
• Hands-on DevOps experience for following functions (tools): Version Control (GIT/Bitbucket), Build Orchestration (Jenkins), Code Quality (SonarQube and Unit Testing frameworks), Artifact Management (Artifactory) and Deployment (Ansible). Experience with Database Build & Deployment using Datical and Release Orchestration using XLRelease would be an added advantage.
• Hands-on experience in application development and operating environments including Windows Server, .NET, SQL Server.
• Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux platform, including LDAP-based authentication integration and clustering.
• Communicate effectively, clearly articulating technical issues, problem incident resolution, readiness status and reporting
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.

Desired Skills

• Self-motivated, independent, detail oriented and responsible team player
• Agile work management using JIRA and Kanban/Scrum.
• Ability to work cooperatively and communicate effectively across various business and technical groups.
• Bank of America Technology experience highly preferred.
