Director of Growth, Program Management (PgM), U.S. East & LATAM
Reporting to the Program Management Regional Business Line Leader (RBLL), this role will manage the achievement of growth objectives within the regional business line. More specifically, the role will focus on the following:
Work in partnership with the RBLL, and other key regional business line leadership to shape, inform, communicate, and implement the overall vision for the regional business line, as aligned with both the Program Management (PgM) Global Business Line (GBL) and the Region.
In coordination with the RBLL, PgM GBL, and in accordance with regional procedures, lead the development of the strategic growth plan for the Program Management business line. Align and communicate corresponding growth goals for the business line with key personnel in the regional business line (e.g., Division Managers, Department Managers, Managing Principals, Practice Leaders, Client Account Managers, Capture Managers) as well as growth leaders from other regional business lines.
Provide strategic input into major PgM pursuits (ECPs and Tier 2s), as well as PgM pursuits identified as a key part of growing a particular market sector:ECP / Tier 2 Board
Capture Plan / Ready-to-Win / Green Light Analysis
Teaming partners and competitors
Win themes, differentiators, and proofs
Incorporation of AECOM Way of PgM into all proposals and client communications
Community engagement and outreach
PR and social media
Proposal response
Interview preparation
Support and hold accountable Client Account Managers (CAMs) for the ongoing development, maintenance, and implementation of their client account plans and delivery of their growth targets and objectives for Program Management services.
Support operational leadership within the regional business line (e.g., Division Managers, Department Managers, Managing Principals, Practice Leaders) in converting strategic plans into actionable tactics to achieve growth targets and objectives.
Drive consistent application of AECOM Program Management practices as it relates to strategy, growth, and pursuit capture, including but not limited to pipeline development & governance, go/no-go decisions, pre-positioning, capture planning, proposal development, and risk management.
Work with the RBLL to develop full year Wins and Bookings forecast on a monthly basis; monitor and report on progress versus goals, forecasts, variances to targets, and specific pursuit status, within the regional business line and at the regional level.
Help prioritize existing clients and identify potential clients, and develop and coordinate strategies for outreach tied to identifying opportunities for Program Management and winning what matters.
Champion AECOM's Enterprise Strategic Initiatives within the business line to implement with our current and future clients.
Working with your peers in the other business lines in the region on PgM opportunities development, ensure that we are bringing the best AECOM has to offer with our clients.
Provide input into regional key hires; work with PgM GBL team to identify key staffing needs; development of key staff profiles, participate as needed in the interview and selection of key staff.
Provide input on civic spending at a regional level and regional presence at national conferences.
Provide input into professional development and continuing education programs that are strategic in nature.
Engage and represent AECOM in professional and community organizations, boards, committees, etc.
Qualifications and Attributes:
Advanced understanding of the project and program management industry for public and private infrastructure development.
Ability to coordinate work across geographies, sectors, and within a matrix-led organization evidenced by successful consensus building and relationship management.
Demonstrated ability for strategic and critical thinking that translates into actionable business development plans.
Ability to understand new issues quickly and make timely decisions after careful listening to a variety of perspectives.
Ability and willingness to take a "hands-on approach" to resolve complex detailed problems.
Exemplary communication skills and ability to assess written, verbal, and non-verbal cues; ability to read between the lines, interpreting conversations and written communications.
Ability to work under pressure and drive tight deadlines.
Ability to travel on short notice when necessary.
