Financial Analyst - Real Estate

Our large, national, Automotive retail organization is looking for an experienced Financial Analyst -Real Estate with a proven track record to join our team. We are looking for a analyst to collect, process, and model data for our commercial real estate holdings to ensure their highest and best use. 3-5 years of financial analysis experience focused on budgeting, reporting, forecasting, funding, approvals, contracts, POs, invoice processing is a must. Experience with Projecto or other platforms used to manage capital projects through their planning, design, and construction is preferred. Past experience with platforms such as


We are in a stable industry and are poised to continue our record growth! This is a direct-hire, full-time, on-site position at our corporate headquarters located just outside downtown Charlotte, NC. Candidates with experience with platforms such as RealCapitalMarkets, ARGUS Enterprise, CoStar, Real Capital Analytics, ArcGIS, Northspyre, AppFolio, CREmodel, Netsuite, Synario, Getrefm, and Salesforce is desirable.


Summary:

The Financial Analyst - Real Estate will be responsible for financial modeling and analysis related to current and future real estate projects. This individual will review and analyze project budgets and work with the corporate real estate department to track all project expenses. They will also work with our corporate accounting team to ensure the expenses are capitalized correctly.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Perform financial projections and other analysis used to evaluate real estate opportunities and investments in current properties
  • Provide support to the corporate real estate department to track project budgets and ensure expenditures are posted timely in our project database system (Projecto)
  • Provide support to corporate accounting department to ensure projects are capitalized correctly
  • Participate in regular meetings to discuss the status of all real estate projects
  • Produce summarized reports showing the investment in each property
  • Develop, maintain and distribute ad-hoc reports and financial models as needed


Job Requirements

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in financial analysis with a focus on real estate
  • 4-year college degree (Major: Finance or Accounting preferred)
  • Experience with Projecto or another project database system a plus
  • Experience with presentation tools and data visualization a plus
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Critical thinking & problem-solving abilities
  • Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple projects as well as strong follow through skills
  • Ability to complete projects timely and accurately is critical
  • Must be detail oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Submit to and successfully complete background check and pre-employment drug test
