Work You'll Do This role is onsite in Radford, VA. This position is for a Network Engineer focused on the implementation and sustainment of switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers and network management tools. The focus is a datacenter environment supporting two separate DoD networks. Responsibilities include network management/analysis/troubleshooting, developing and maintaining local operating procedures and policies. Developing and maintaining network automation and scripts, and monitoring the ongoing operation of the network. Experience with network management, analysis and troubleshooting tools Experience with Data Center Management Ability to train junior team members Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills, analytical and problem-solving skills, written and verbal communication abilities Experience in implementing and maintaining security management strategies. (DISA STIGs experience preferred but not required) Experience with development of project documentation to include standard operating procedures, project plans, and network diagrams The team Our Core Technology Operations group enables differentiation and focused growth for large-scale infrastructure, data center, and operations projects. Qualifications Required Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information technology or other relevant major. 5+ years of network engineering experience. Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain. Onsite. Must live locally (Radford, VA) or be willing to relocate (must have access to SIPR).
