Classes begin January 6, 2025

Before we go any further, you should know this is THE dream job.

You'll get paid to learn, and once you graduate, we'll hire you full-time. You won't be sitting behind some computer screen you'll be out in the real world, making a big difference in your community.

Your Role As a Tech Builder:

You'll participate in classes and labs. When you join Tech Builder, you'll have some time in the classroom, time in our state-of-the-art lab, and time riding along with current technicians to actual appointments.

You'll go from no HVAC experience to HVAC pro! Our Tech Builder trainees come from all kinds of backgrounds. Your background is part of who you are today, but it doesn't have to dictate who you're gonna be tomorrow. If you wanna be an HVAC technician, put in the effort and we can help you become one of the best!

You'll graduate and become a full-time Maintenance Technician.

You'll make good money. Morris-Jenkins offers compensation far beyond most other companies. After you graduate from class, we'll give you a raise! Many of our Tech Builder graduates are now making more than $100k a year.

Responsibilities:
Some highlights about this career opportunity:

You'll train for about 10 weeks with some of the best teachers and equipment around, and when you pass the class, you'll be hired on as a full-time HVAC technician! Oh, and did we mention? It's paid training! ($18/Hr)

This is the stuff HR needs you to know:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Excellent communication & interpersonal skills

Basic mechanical or electrical skills

A friendly personality and helpful, positive attitude to provide a top-notch customer experience

High School Diploma or GED

Must pass a pre-employment drug test

Must pass an extensive criminal background check

Must have an insurable driving record & valid driver license with at least 3 years of driving history

Able to meet Physical Demands and tolerate Work Environment See Below

Must be able to fluently speak, read, & write in the English language

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Prior work experience in customer service or sales

HVAC-related certifications or education

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the person is frequently required to move about within customers' homes inside tight crawlspaces and ascend/descend ladders lifting one's own bodyweight through narrow entrances into attics. Must be able to identify and inspect equipment, parts, and colored wiring to safely test, repair, and install electrical connections with precise hand-eye motor skills.

Mental Demands: Must be able to perceive and distinguish emotions, as well as deal with adversarial confrontations. Requires an ability to concentrate and prioritize multiple tasks at once. Conscious attention to detail is required to safely perform tasks.

Work Environment: Frequently requires exposure to outdoor weather conditions and other hazards such as electrical shock, toxic fumes, caustic chemicals, UV light, sharp objects, venomous animals, etc., which may cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness. This job requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as directed by company policy.
