Job Title: Commercial Real Estate Attorney
Location: Raleigh, NC (Winston-Salem, NC or Charlotte, NC)

Company Overview:
We are a growing law firm with plans to expand into new markets. Currently, we are seeking a talented and experienced Commercial Real Estate Attorney to join our team in Raleigh or Winston-Salem, with the possibility of working from a new Charlotte office in the near future. Our firm provides comprehensive legal services in the areas of commercial real estate, land use, and business formation.

Job Summary:
We are looking for an attorney with 6 years of commercial real estate experience who can manage complex transactions, handle client relationships, and assist with the firm's business development. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability to work independently while delivering exceptional client service.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial real estate documents, including leases, purchase agreements, and loan documents
  • Advising clients on zoning, land use, and environmental regulations
  • Managing client relationships, providing proactive legal advice, and developing solutions for clients' real estate matters
  • Leading and closing commercial real estate transactions from start to finish
  • Participating in the firm's business development activities by growing current client relationships and attending networking events
  • Collaborating with colleagues on various legal and business matters to optimize client results

Requirements:


  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in commercial real estate law
  • Licensed to practice law in North Carolina
  • Book of business is preferred but not required
  • Strong legal research, writing, and communication skills
  • Excellent academic credentials
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple projects with attention to detail
  • Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to collaborate across practice areas

Salary and Benefits:


  • Competitive salary based on experience and book of business
  • Billable requirement for associates is 130 hours per month (1560 annually), with an additional 25 non-billable hours
  • Potential for higher compensation for those who exceed billable targets
