Position Overview This effort will provide Engineering Support Services for the United States Coast Guard (USCG), Aviation Logistics Center (ALC), Short Range Recovery (SRR), Medium Range Recovery Range (MRR), Medium Range Surveillance (MRS), and Long Range Surveillance (LRS) Divisions at the United States Coast Guard (USCG) Aviation Logistics Center (ALC) in Elizabeth City, NC. Essential Job Function Shall be technically proficient in the operation of ADVM or equivalent aircraft equipment and processes.
Shall be responsible for maintenance, evaluation, and repair of all electrical generation and power generation systems in the MH-60T aircraft, which includes the boxes and cabling systems.
Perform routine, non-routine, and complex assignment involving system installation including, but not limited to, analyzing local operational system data, analyzing procedures, and troubleshooting system anomalies.
Shall participate in system related discussions with outside sources to resolve problems and coordinate procedures or recommendations for solving system problems.
Shall train others on system functions and operation and perform one (1) or more of the following:
Plan and/or assist in planning tests to evaluate equipment performance. Determines test requirements, equipment modification and test procedures, conducts test using all types of instruments, analyzes, and evaluates test results, and prepares reports from findings and makes recommendations to MRR Engineering.
From general guidelines and specifications, develops, designs, and integrates equipment for requirements that are difficult to satisfy such as software loading, equipment location, harness layout, and routing.
Analyzes technical data to determine applicability to design problems, prepare several possible design changes, prepare design change recommendations with detailed specifications, part lists, estimates, procedures, etc. Reviews ICDs, checks and analyzes drawings or equipment to determine adequacy of drawings and design.
Develops integration plans for future systems or equipment upgrades. Liaison with ALC Vibration lab and OEM, reviews data, analyzes results, and makes recommendations to redesign or modify equipment to improve performance and propose recommendations to MRR Engineering. Develops design plans and technical instructions of aircraft structures for avionics modifications. MH-60T Avionics upgrade/Service Life Extension Program (SLEP)/Sensors support and obsolescence management of legacy equipment. Develops technical instructions and support for hull buildup In Accordance With (IAW) USCG requirements. Other duties as required to support the MRR PL. Minimum Qualifications Shall possess a SECRET security clearance at time of proposal submission and must maintain the SECRET security clearance for the life of the contract.
Shall possess at a minimum three (3) years' experience in the aviation vibration related engineering field.
Shall possess at a minimum two (2) years' experience directly related to maintenance/support of the Sikorsky H-60 family of aircraft in addition to a minimum of two (2) years' experience in the current production configuration of MH-60T aircraft. Desired Qualifications A minimum of two (2) years' experience in onboard vibration management equipment, with emphasis on software configuration and sensitivity adjustment knowledge is preferred.
