Position Summary: MILVETS Systems Technology, Inc. is currently seeking a full time Technical Writer, Journeyman. Minimum of two (2) year experience in software engineering, including the design, coding, testing, and documentation of computer programs Responsibilities: Write technical materials, such as equipment manuals, appendices, or operating and maintenance instructions. Could also include business proposals, reports, briefings and presentations, functional descriptions, system specifications, guidelines, special reports, and other project deliverables to meet contract requirements.
Develop outlines and drafts for review and approval by technical specialists and project management ensuring that final documents meet applicable contract requirements and regulations.
Research and gather technical and background information for inclusion in project documentation and deliverables.
Consult relevant information sources, including library resources, technical and financial documents, and client and project personnel, to obtain background information, and verify pertinent guidelines and regulations governing project deliverables.
Commensurate experience, education, and level of supervision and direction.
Experience: Minimum of two (2) year experience in software engineering, including the design, coding, testing, and documentation of computer programs Qualifications: Bachelor's or associate degree in related field or at minimum Information Technology (IT) Certification. Certifications: Requires DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification IAT Level II. (Eg. CompTIA Sec+) Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; an Active United States Department of Defense Secret clearance is required.
