Job Number: R Kubernetes Platform Engineer
Key Role: Manage, administer, support, and enhance cloud environments, ensuring continuous improvement and rapid problem resolution. Apply advanced consulting skills or extensive te chn ical expertise, including full industry knowledge. Develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Work without considerable direction, and mentor and supervise team members. Basic Qualifications: 5+ years of experience with Kubernetes Experience managing, administrating, configuring, deploying, and maintaining environments and system integration tools, including Kubernetes, Rancher, Harbor, Helm, Longhorn, Rook-Ceph, Chaos Engineering, and Grafana Experience writing Terraform, Ansible playbooks, Linux automation scripts, rudimentary APIs, or automation scripts to interact with existing APIs, automated provisioning, infrastructure as code, and sof tware development programming languages Knowledge of systems monitoring, alerting, and analytics at the container level for APM tools, including Splu nk , ELK, and Prometheus Knowledge of IDAM requirements and te chn ologies, including Active Directory, SAML, OpenLDAP, hardware tokens, OAuth 2.0, or OIDC TS/SCI clearance HS diploma or GED Ability to obtain DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification within 2 months of start date Additional Qualifications: Experience managing and deploying applications in an air-gapped environment Experience with Agile development methodologies and working on Agile teams using collaboration tools, including Jira, Confluence, or Discourse Experience creating and c ond ucting automated unit and system integration tests to identify and feedback failed modules and components Experience working with CM tools, including Gitlab, Git-centric, and CI / CD workflows Ability to communicate te chn ical ideas and deliver briefings with cross functional teams Possession of excellent verbal and written communications skills Possession of excellent listening skills Bachelor's degree Certified Kubernetes Application Developer ( CKAD ) , Certified Kubernetes Administrator ( CKA ) , or Certified Kubernetes Security ( CKS ) Certification Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required. Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $96,700.00 to $220,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
