Job description

The Blue Rose School Resiliency Program is seeking Associate Level Clinicians to assist the Wayne County School District by providing professional care to children in schools throughout Wayne County, NC. Services will be provided at school sites. These positions require one of the following designations: Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHC-A), Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSW-A), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate (LMFT-A) issued by the state of North Carolina. Under the supervision of the Program Director and Clinical Supervisor, the School Based Associate Clinician is responsible for delivering quality counseling, managing, and minimizing risks by maintaining accurate documentation. Successful candidates will be responsible for conducting mental health evaluations, developing treatment plans, facilitating individual and group sessions, and potentially managing referrals. To ensure success, School Based Associate Clinicians should be familiar with the latest developments in counseling and feel comfortable collaborating with faculty, staff, and other professionals. Outstanding candidates will also exhibit exceptional clinical insight and extensive counseling experience. In this role you will: Provide individual and group counseling services
Offer brief intervention as needed
Conduct initial client assessments
Perform psychosocial assessments
Develop treatment plans
Write and maintain progress notes for all encounters
Carry out appropriate client discharges
Maintain and update client records
Make suitable referrals for clients when necessary
Engage in school outreach and provide school presentations when needed
Perform necessary case management duties
Participate in case staffing and administrative meetings
Take part in clinical supervision and seek peer consultation as needed
Perform other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS: EXPERIENCE: Previous counseling experience in behavioral health preferred
Demonstrated level of clinical counseling skills indicative of ability to engage in self-regulated practice
Experience working with groups and diverse cultural, ethnic, and socio-economic settings
Demonstrated counseling skills in a variety of settings
Experience working with children and adolescents
Experience in a school setting is preferred but not required ABILITIES: Adaptability and flexibility to work in various settings and environments
Collaboration as part of a multi-disciplinary team
Providing vision, feedback, and creativity in a dynamic and evolving environment KNOWLEDGE: In-depth knowledge of DSM-V
Strong familiarity with various counseling methodologies and techniques, including group counseling
Proficiency in family systems and evidence-based models.
Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, and PowerPoint
SKILLS: Strong clinical and assessment skills.
Cultural competence
Proficiency in basic casework skills (referrals, advocacy)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills for effective multitasking
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and administration. EDUCATION AND LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS: Master's or Doctorate degree required.
Possess a current, valid Associate level license issued by the state of North Carolina as one of the following: Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHC-A); Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSW-A): Licensed Marriage and Licensed Family Therapist Associate (LMFT-A)
Successful candidates will be required to pass a background check
