THIS IS A REPOST. PREVIOUS APPLICANTS MUST REAPPLY TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS VACANCY This position is based in the Goldsboro Unit Office. This position serves as Rehabilitation Casework Technician for the Vocational Rehabilitation Program located in the Goldsboro VR Office. This position assists two VR Rehabilitation Counselors in covering the school caseloads consisting of 6 public high schools and 1 specialty school. Job responsibilities include the following: Interviewing consumers and gathering diagnostic data to assist counselors in determining eligibility and developing services. Documenting casework and provision of services. Assisting counselors in providing quality and timely services. Pre-ets, providing follow-up with consumers, vendors, and community resources. Assisting counselors in managing budget and ensuring goals are met; and effectively completing all related administrative tasks. Operation of computer, printer, copy machine, calculator and telephone are all essential for the performance of this position. Other equipment may be used in the office setting. Incumbent will also work with management/LOA in providing support to special projects (i.e. inventory, purging files, etc.) The DHHS Division of Employment and Independence for People with Disabilities (EIPD) promotes employment and independence for persons with disabilities through customer partnership and community leadership.
