Job description

Gpac (Growing People and Companies ) is a national search firm. We have been retained by a nonprofit organization to search for a Chief Operating Officer. The mission of this organization is to promote the independent living of older adults in Guilford County. They serve adults over 60 and their families with a wide range of services from home-delivered meals to volunteer opportunities.

Position Summary

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is responsible for the day-to-day oversight and management of agency services and programs. Reporting directly to the CEO, the COO is a member of the executive team working to fultill the organization's mission by driving stragegy for future growth, creating an excellent workplace culture, and ensuring operational integrity in all services. The COO will bring vital leadership to operational, managerial, administrative procedures, reporting structure and compliance while fostering effective communication and growth among all employees.

Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in related field.
  • 5-10 years of executive level experience.
  • Exceptional Leadership presence, nonprofit business acumen, and communication skills.
  • Exhibited history of excellent integrity with a mindset toward equity and innovation.

Responsibilities


  • Organizational Strategy and Vision

    • Plays a critical role in the visioning, planning, execution, and oversight of all strategic initiatives and is responsible for communictiton of plan to all stakeholders.
    • Works with Board members, Committees, donors, volunteers, staff and community-based organizations.
    • Responsible for the overall day-to-day operations of the organization.
    • Responsible for the effective managment of staff, volunteers and operations.
    • Serve as a spokesperson and advocate for the organization

  • Program Management

    • Ensures the integrity of all programs and operations to provide high quality service, effective and cost-efficient management of resources and compliance.

  • Planning and Budgeting

    • Develops annual plans for each area of responsibility including strategies, objectives, timelines, budgets, required resources and key perfomance indicators.

  • Analytics

    • Work with program managers to collect and analyze data.

  • Personnel Practices

    • Supervises staff, assures that sound human resource practices are maintained, creates a positive working environment, resolves issues regarding compliance and regulations.

  • Collaboration

    • Work collaboratively with public and private sector community organizations and prgrams.

  • Community Representation

    • Serves as a representative in the community.

  • Funding

    • Collaborates with the executive team and program managers in developing program specific budgets and identifing potential funding opportunities.

  • Monitoring

    • Establishes and monitors specific outrcomes for programs, makes modifications as needed, and reports to the CEO, Board and relevant Committees.

  • Evaluation

    • Assesses client satisfaction to assure needs are being addressed.

  • Program Outreach

    • Works with the team to develop strategies to reach and engage greater numbers of older adults.


Location: Onsite

Salary: $80,000 - $90,000
