A licensed social worker's job description includes helping people improve their quality of life through counseling, advocacy, and reporting. They may work in a variety of settings, including hospitals, private practice, community mental health, and primary care.

Some of the responsibilities of a licensed social worker include:
Assessing needs: Identifying people and communities in need of help, and assessing their needs, strengths, and support networks
Providing counseling: Offering direct counseling to individuals, families, and communities
Advocating: Researching, referring, and advocating for community resources to help clients
Responding to crises: Responding to crisis situations such as child abuse and mental health emergencies
Monitoring: Monitoring clients' situations and following up to ensure they have improved
Maintaining records: Maintaining case files and records
Providing psychotherapy: Providing psychotherapy services
Licensed social workers need to have good interpersonal skills, be able to work independently, and be flexible. They also need to be able to communicate coherently and professionally with patients and co-workers.

Requirements:
Must be Licensed in North Carolina
Must have bachelor's degree in Social Work
At least 1 year of recent experience
