Steel or metals experience required. Supervisory experience in a warehouse environment required.

Leads operations team to ensure the production plan is followed to produce products at the highest quality level while striving for the most effective processing efficiencies to achieve established performance and cost standards, customer specifications, and delivery requirements.

Responsibilities:
Schedules, prioritizes, and delegates work assignments activities and tasks throughout the production process. Primarily responsible for supervising and coordinating activities of employees engaged in the steel slitting, cut-to-length, and material handling processes. Reads work orders and follows oral instructions to identify which materials are to be used. Oversees plant associates setting-up machines and equipment for daily operations. Assists plant associates in resolving various problems. Teaches them how to analyze problems showing them techniques they can use to resolve issues. Escalates issues that cannot be resolved by the team. Address issues regarding safety, quality, and production; elevates unresolved issues to management (Ops/Plant Manager) when necessary. Provides input regarding employee progress, performance, and employee issues related to rewarding and disciplining employees. Compiles production reports and operational data for daily, weekly, and monthly records. Works closely with various internal groups to support timely coordination of production schedules. Maintains updated employee training for safety, work procedures, and policy changes. Maintain a clean work environment.

Qualifications:
Qualifications and Skills:

• Basic reading and writing comprehension and computer skills; ability to read a tape measure.

• Proficient in basic math and problem-solving skills.

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to prioritize.

• Experience with MS Office Suite.

Experience & Education:

• High School or equivalent, associate degree preferred.

• Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
