Job description

Overview:
Develop and execute sourcing strategies that reduce total cost at ownership (TCO) for purchased services, drugs, capital, medical, surgical supply expense. Foster and develop relationships with Novant Health business owners and third parties to ensure sourcing process is embraced by the organization. Perform data analytics on strategic categories as necessary. Manage contracts and vendors for assigned service lines.

Qualifications:
Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, required. Graduate Degree, preferred.

Experience: Minimum of five years Sourcing experience, preferred.

Additional skills required:Excellent organizational and communication skills and ability to drive strategy for assigned categories.

Experience with contracting, negotiation and operational terms.

Displays excellent analytical and presentation skills.

Ability to collaborate with other health care professionals and manufacture change without authority.

Ability to organize and determine work priorities. Exhibits self-direction, and time management skills. Able to continuously re-prioritize, demonstrate flexibility and process multiple issues simultaneously.

Demonstrate appropriate questioning attitude.

Additional skills preferred: Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing.

Demonstrates attention to detail and accuracy.

Familiarity with medical terminology, healthcare industry trends and outside market forces.
