Overview:
Position reports to the Vice President, Finance Operations and will partner closely with the Finance Leadership Team and Operations leadership and executives. The Finance Operations team is primarily responsible for managing the financials for our services which include partnering with the Mercalis Client Services team to ensure invoicing customers and the management of client funds held on deposit for the timely payment of obligations in support of a positive patient experience with client-sponsored programs.

This role will provide support for a variety of specific accounting and cash management (treasury) tasks on behalf of the team, as well as provide leadership support to team staff. This position will assist the team to build processes fit for a fast-growing company as it scales. A successful candidate will possess strong financial background and knowledge of GAAP/IFRS standards to maintain and analyze financial information, prepare financial reports & schedules needed for the team to function efficiently. He/She must be a dynamic self-starter with a "Can-Do" attitude, able to function in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Experience managing complex financial and other business processes in a service-based healthcare organization is extremely beneficial.

Responsibilities:
Key Partner to Client Services Organization to manage client program finances for Strategic Accounts end-to-end

Lead regular meetings with Client Services Organization and Client contacts related to client program financial deliverables. Support senior leadership and executive levels

Lead team to ensure timely, accurate invoicing of client programs and accounting for client program activity

Track client program budgets, actual performance to budget and monitor program spend against Purchase Order levels. Ensure timely reconciliation of AR to Client AP portal.

Monitor, reconcile, analyze revenue and other trends to ensure proper revenue recognition including deferred revenue

Calculate, maintain and monitor customer rebates and monthly accruals

Manage client program annual renewals process, ensuring timely, accurate set-up

Leadprocess improvement, financial controls and automation of processes in particular in the order to cash process. Identify root causes and solutions to cross functional problems related to transacting client program activity

Ensure SOPs are followed consistently, controls/process documentation is maintained, updated

Drive adherence and discipline in the month-end close process

Provide support and schedules for external and internal audits

Directly manage, coach and develop other staff

Utilize Mercalis' leadership competencies as the driving force behind the team's success

On-time adherence to training deadlines for all corporate policies and procedures governing access to confidential

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting

10+ years accounting experience

CPA preferred

Audit experience preferred

Pharmaceutical services background a big advantage

Experience supporting senior leadership and executive levels

Strong presentation skills internally and with external customers

Demonstrated strong analysis and insights based on trends that lead to actions or decisions

Proven track record in process improvement, financial controls and automation of processes in particular in the order to cash process

Strong knowledge of US GAAP, ASC 606, and deferred revenue

Experience with NetSuite and similar business applications

Significant experience working with large procurement systems (Ariba, Coupa, etc.)

Strong Microsoft office suite experience, especially Excel, including thorough knowledge Other Desired Qualifications:

Experience establishing effective relationships with business partners, gaining in-depth understanding of needs and a track-record of meeting/exceeding expectations

Experience with working cross-functionally with other departments to execute complex projects

Experience identifying weakness in controls and driving to adequate resolution

Experience identifying inefficiencies in existing process and success driving improvements

Team leadership experience
