Job description

LHH is currently recruiting a Business Litigation Paralegal for a large and well-respected law firm client in Raleigh, NC. The litigation paralegal will assist assigned attorneys in the firm’s litigation practice with a focus on business and employment litigation. Responsibilities

  • Composing, transcribing and editing of discovery documents, pleadings, motions, affidavits and other materials

  • Maintain and monitor docket and court deadlines

  • Filing of documents in state and federal court

  • Collection of high-volume of documents for cases, including organization, redaction, and indexing

  • Assist attorney with preparation for trial

  • Trial assistance can include taking notes, handling exhibits and maintaining documents

  • Legal research using a variety of databases and PACER

Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years of business litigation experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Paralegal certification and/or NC Certification preferred

  • Experience in all phases of the litigation process

  • Knowledge of court procedures and rules in federal and state courts

  • Proficiency in legal research platforms

  • Strong project and case management skills

  • eDiscovery experience preferred

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong attention to detail

Pay Details: $70,000.00 to $90,000.00 per year
