Lab Analyst (R&D)
We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Lab Analyst to join our company. As a Lab Analyst, you will play a vital role in conducting various tests, analyzing samples, and providing accurate and reliable test results. This position offers an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the development of innovative adhesive solutions.
Your Responsibilities:
Work on the execution of various experimental projects and the interpretation of test data in a timely fashion.
Perform preventative maintenance and calibration on analytical equipment as required.
Maintain departmental and individual lab notebooks, tabulate and organize data, keep records, and write reports.
Maintain inventory and safe storage of laboratory chemicals.
Maintain, operate, and understand analytical R&D lab equipment such as FTIR, DMA, and DSC.
Using the internet, and in-house journals, maintain a current awareness of new trends in chemistry.
Works closely with the assigned R&D Team Manager to assist in conducting tests to evaluate benefits and claims for products.
Prepare adhesive samples internally and for customers.
Continue to develop expertise in the field of adhesive chemistry.
Read and follow trends in the trade literature.
Must be comfortable around heavy industrial equipment.
Our Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or equivalent related work experience in the chemical industry.
Knowledge of general chemistry, quantitative and qualitative analysis, organic chemistry, or equivalent experience is preferred.
Understanding of basic scientific principles and general laboratory methods.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Recording and interpreting results to present to senior colleagues.
Keeping up-to-date with technical developments, especially those that can save time and improve reliability.
Demonstrating practical procedure, time management, and accurate recordkeeping while working on designated projects.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites is required. SAP knowledge is preferred.
