Description

  • Develop and implement project plans, including scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to define project goals, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Create and manage project budgets, ensuring financial goals are met.
  • Build and lead project teams, assigning tasks and responsibilities.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive working environment.
  • Negotiate and administer contracts with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with contract specifications and terms.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. Monitor and manage project risks throughout the construction process.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules using project management software.
  • Monitor progress and make adjustments to ensure timely completion.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors to align schedules.
  • Communicate regularly with stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and regulatory authorities.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and project correspondence.
  • Address and resolve any challenges or obstacles that may arise during the construction process.
  • Oversee the project closeout process, including final inspections and client acceptance.
  • Ensure all necessary documentation is complete for project handover.
  • Address any outstanding issues and ensure client satisfaction.

Profile

  • 12+ years of Project Management experience with a General Contractor
  • MUST have large-scale public project experience (>15M) in higher ed, healthcare, and/or K12
  • Strong understanding of CM at Risk work and experience working with the NC State Construction Office
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field highly desirable
  • Applicable project management software proficiency
  • Excellent communication skills including the competency to lead presentations and client meetings
  • Effective team-building skills to support a positive team atmosphere & meet high productivity goals
  • Business & financial acumen

Job Offer

  • Base salary 180-225K contingent on experience
