What you will do:

Leads, guides and directs the delivery of occupational therapy services in the facility in accordance with local, state and federal regulations, standards and established facility policies and procedures to provide appropriate care and services to patients/residents.

Responsibilities:

Evaluates/Reevaluates/Discharge of patients
Plans, develops, organizes, implements, evaluates and directs the delivery of occupational therapy services as well as its programs and activities, in accordance with current state and federal laws and regulations, and respective practice act in the state.
Verifies client information by interviewing client, reviewing and recording medical history, confirming purpose of treatment.
Maintains patient occupational therapy records by recording clients progress for use by the occupational therapist.
Generates revenue by recording billing information of services rendered.
Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
Serves and protects occupational therapy practice by adhering to professional standards, policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements, and Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) standards.
Enhances occupational therapy practice reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Adapt to the variety of settings and situations that occur in a rural healthcare setting

What you will need:

Masters degree in occupational therapy
Pass the NBCOT (National Board Exam)
Occupational Therapy Licensure for the state of North Dakota
