Description:

GMP Friction Products, located in Akron, OH, is currently seeking a Laser Supervisor who wants to grow with a small-sized manufacturer. This position is responsible for leading the Laser operations which includes managing the Trumpf Laser designs, processes, materials, inventories, and programming. This position will include, but not be limited to, performing the following duties.

Maintaining manufacturing schedules.

Maintaining efficient run rates and material utilization.

Updating CAD drawings.

Shipping and receiving.

Programming and operating the Trumpf Laser with a Siemens CNC control.

Identifying different types and thickness of material.

Have knowledge of gases used, how to replace parts and set pressures.

Maintaining performance and preventive maintenance of the laser.

Requirements:

Education:

High School Diploma or GED;

Experience/Knowledge:

CAD experience required.

Minimum of three to five years in all areas of operation of the CNC laser with a Siemens CNC control.

Experience in a precision machining environment.

Ability to read and interpret documents.

Forklift training.

Carrying out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram format.
